Toyota Yaris Roof Bike Rack

July 6, 2010

Rack Attack Team

>"Alas, poor Yaris! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath bore me on his back a thousand times, and now how abhorr'd in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it."
--Hamlet (kind of)

I know what thou thinkest, dear reader. What's in a name when a Yaris by any other name smells as sweet? But what is a Yaris? Perchance some fairy or demon--else the love child born of York and Paris? Wikipedia doth define it as such:The Toyota Yaris brand consists of distinct but related subcompact cars sold under the Yaris badge. Through girth most narrow and roof curved like the angel's harp, this Yaris knew no fits in the realms ofYakima or Thule's fit guides. But fear not, for here at Rack Attack we dost attach racks to any beast of burden laboring 'neath the sun.

As rose the sun o'er this great curved roof, we installed54" tracks. The strongest and most versatile, this installation dost hold all 'cross the roof. Like a brass-bottomed pot, the track dost distribute weight along the roof of the car. And alas and alack, with a track, the Yakima Landing Pad 1s and Control Towers can move fore and aft in the track, so this bar spread stretcheth to a whopping 45" spread, to carry boats most lengthy!

These58" bars allowest more space and reach. To be as silent as an owl in the eve', a 50" fairing cuts down the noise of wind. Ready to strike, a Yakima King Cobra, carries any bike without removing the front wheel. Later, this rack might be ready to carry kayaks, skis, or even kegs of mead.

If we shadows have offended
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumbere'd here
While these visions did appear.
If this rack makes your jaw fall
Then please don't wait, give us a call
10-6 through the week and Sat
10-4 Sunday is where we're at
Give me your hands if we be friends
And Rack Attack shall restore amends.
