Looking for something that will bring your canoe or kayak as well as A LOT of stuff up north? Yakima’s MegaWarrior rooftop basket is the rack solution for you! The MegaWarrior is a rugged combination of multi-sport versatility and off-road styling that’s convenient and easy to use.
That sounds great, but will this thing even fit on my truck? The MegaWarrior’s universal attachment hardware allows the beast to be mounted on Thule square bars, Thule Rapid Aero bars, Yakima round bars (just like the photo above), and most factory crossbars.
The MegaWarrior comes standard with a custom wind fairing for superior noise reduction and performance when cutting through the wind. Built-in adjustable accessory bars act as extra crossbars to support other gear-specific racks (like bike and kayak racks) on top of the basket. Below, this cool FJ cruiser is supporting a canoe on the accessory bars of the MegaWarrior using Yakima’s Gunwale Brackets (pictured right) – padded load stops to cushion and stabilize the canoe.
True to its name, the MegaWarrior is as rugged as it is versatile. It boasts a weather resistant heavy-duty construction with thick steel tubing. The basket’s frame is galvanized and powder coated for superior corrosion resistance. With an optional 22” extension to expand cargo capacity by 40% (as pictured above), the MegaWarrior will take virtually anything you can throw at it.
Though the look of the MegaWarrior is intimidating enough by itself, it can be outfitted with custom locking brackets to eliminate the possibility of theft and secure your investment while you’re off enjoying the great outdoors. There are a host of other useful accessories for the basket, including a custom fitted cargo net (as pictured below) to pack and stabilize the gear.
